The Cheesecake Shop

The past two weeks I've been considerably ill with a chest and ear infection, although you probably know this as I've been attention seeking on Twitter and Facebook! Anyway, feeling a bit sorry for myself I've indulged massively... after the doctor wrote me off a whole weeks work and university, I took a swift train ride to Loughborough where my boyfriend's living for some TLC. Back to the indulgence bit, well... see below...

This my friends, is The Cheesecake Shop, a magical place where you can buy an array of cheesecakes full, by the half or in quarters. I, of course, went for a quarter (which I shared) of the Strawberry Glaze. It was delish, although I'm hoping to go back next time to try that meringue pie. Can you believe I've never tried meringue?

As well as cheesecake, I also had my first Hummingbird Bakery experience last week, which I believe to be one of the best things that has ever happened to me! I had a classic cupcake; vanilla with vanilla buttercream icing... it was to die. You also get to take the cupcake away in an adorable Hummingbird Bakery box, which has now doubled up as my money box. This Hummingbird Bakery cookbook is also an amazing pressie, I know I'll be asking for one for Chrimbo!

MUST.STOP.EATING!!!

Winter Berries

So I've started a new blog.

So I've started my first blog. This isn't really my thing, introductions that is, not blogging, blogging is, or at least soon will be, my thing. But here goes anyway; my name is Kayleigh, I've recently moved to London, CENTRAL LONDON ZONE 1!!!, for university. I go to London College of Fashion, where I've just started to study Fashion Public Relations. I intend to blog about my London adventures/anything mildly related to me and my life.

My first post is just a little teaser of one of the many exciting (sorry I shouldn't be so sarcastic) subjects I'll be posting about... Candles!

This little puppy is helping to make my slightly dingy, very basic, halls of residence room that little bit more homely. I'm aware that considering I'm within walking distance from Spitalfields Market, and within tube distance of a million beautiful, world renowned markets, this candle should be some great little find from a quirky little stall, but it is in fact, Glade and urm I picked it up half price at Tesco. I'm sorry but when something smells like Christmas in a pot (I know it's only October) I am not afraid to be mainstream and besides, the high street is my friend!

In another attempt to "create the perfect mood", and maybe to empty out the overflowing recycling bin in my shared kitchen with 3 other wine loving girls, I did the whole candles in a bottle thang'.

The candles haven't melted very much yet but... they will.

note to self: landscape images look better than portrait.
